AND THE WINNER IS...
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Cowbell build photo contest and for your interest in Cowbell Brewing Co. We received hundreds of creative guesses for each posted photo.

PHOTO #1 - CATWALK
The first photo in the Cowbell photo contest was our elevated Catwalk that overlooks the brewhouse, cellar and packaging hall. Once our fully accessible, closed-loop, carbon-neutral brewery is open to the public, the catwalk will allow all visitors an elevated viewing platform to safely explore more of Cowbell. The view will include the soaring 45-foot Douglas Fir PineRidge timberframe structure with tongue and groove pine ceiling, custom Newlands 50 hectolitre brewhouse and fermentation tanks, Argelith tile flooring, Krones canning line, Comac kegging line. And, of course, visitors will be able to watch the Cowbell Team at work, brewing and packaging delicious beer!
PHOTO #2 - TREATMENT TANKS
Up next in the contest was a photo of an integral part of Cowbell’s closed-loop design. Cowbell will be home to the World’s First Closed-Loop Brewery. We source our brewing water from an on-site well and manage all our own effluent through our wastewater plant with no impact whatsoever on the municipal system or the environment. The seven transport-sized Balancing and Treatment Tanks are the first step in our effluent management system. The tanks hold and treat all three effluent streams from the brewery,
1) restaurant 2) domestic and 3) brewhouse, cellar and packaging. After leaving the tanks, the treated water is released back into the ground through a wastewater bed.
PHOTO #3 - SPIRAL STAIRCASE
The final Cowbell build photo posted was the Spiral Staircase located just inside the main entrance. The staircase is made to look like a repurposed crumbling silo, inside which, large oak plank steps spiral around a Newlands matte black fermentation tank - part of Cowbell’s unique Anniversary and Vintage Beer program, and will take visitors to the second floor of the brewery to the catwalk, the Loft with views of the restaurant, Doc’s Bar and brewhouse below.
