Cowbell Brewing Co. proudly announces the release of the second beer in our Session Series.
Joining hugely popular Shindig Huron County Lager in Cowbell’s Session Series, is a delicious India Pale Ale, called Gravel Run Session IPA. Many small town and rural Canadians are familiar with a gravel run - an exuberant drive over rural back roads, windows rolled down, favourite tunes on the radio, enjoying good conversation with great friends.
Gravel Run Session IPA is a collaboration with Jack Astor’s restaurants, part of Service Inspired Restaurants (SIR Corp). SIR Corp is a privately held Canadian corporation that owns and operates a diverse portfolio of 60 highly successful restaurants in Canada and one in the United States. “We are pleased to launch this fine beer in collaboration with our friends at SIR Corp,” says Dave Clarke, Cowbell’s Chief Commercial Officer.
This tasty beer balances the potent and aromatic hop properties we love in India Pale Ales like Cowbell’s Doc Perdue’s Boxing Bruin, but Gravel Run introduces a more sessionable drinking experience at 4.5%ABV. Showcasing Centennial, Equanot and Eureka! hops, with an approachable bitterness at 25 IBU, less intense than classic IPAs, but is still unique, enticing and delicious.
Cowbell Brewmaster, Stephen Rich, says “this beauty pours clear and gold with a body reminiscent of a copper sunset. The unmistakable burst of hops immediately fills your palate. Vibrant citrus shows off with orange, peach and lime juices and a bright tropical burst of pineapple and lychee follow suit. Sweet pine flavours hit the edge of your tongue with gentle bitterness on a lightly honeyed and caramel malt base. Gravel Run is light and easy with a soft body and focused finish.”
Gravel Run Session IPA will be available on draught exclusively at all 32 Jack Astor’s restaurants across Ontario from September 4 - November 30, 2018, and at Cowbell Brewing in Blyth
